C/C++ and/or Perl developer

Mindspeed Technologies, Inc. designs, develops and sells semiconductor networking solutions for communications applications such as converged VoIP and data, and broadband optical transmission in enterprise, access, metropolitan and wide area networks.
Mindspeed's products are used in a wide variety of network infrastructure equipment including voice and media gateways, high-speed routers, switches, access multiplexers, cross-connect systems, add-drop multiplexers and digital loop carrier equipment.
We are opening a position SQV (system quality verification) developer for our Ukraine office.
Key requirements:
• Masters CS degree.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Proven ability to effectively organize and work productively on simultaneous tasks.
• Experience in coding in C/C++ and/or Perl.
• Experience debugging big projects.
All or some of the qualifications listed below considered adding a major value to the applicant:
• Experience in test development is a plus.
• TTCN-3 experience is a big plus.
• Experience in DB development is a plus.
• Other scripting languages (python, tcl) is a plus.
• Knowledge of all or some telecommunications standards and protocols such as T1/E1, T3, E3, SONET, xDSL, GSM, WiMAX, LTE, TCP, Ethernet, ATM, signaling protocols (SIP, SS7), modem communication etc is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good English language level.
• Must be able to interface with other groups to define and develop new tools and enhance existing software.
Responsibilities will include:
Development of new tests using C/C++ and Perl for new Video/Voice over Network product; development TTCN-3 scripts to automate product testing; execution tests, gathering and analyzing results, reporting bugs.
